A leading African insurer wanted to explore the potential of generative AI to improve how it supports customers on their financial journeys. With a vision for innovation and financial wellbeing at scale, the client turned to Praelexis to help develop a chatbot that could deliver reliable financial guidance without human bottlenecks. Financial advice was only accessible via direct contact with an advisor, which slowed down response times and increased the possibility of errors. The client saw an opportunity to scale their support, reduce reliance on manual processes, and investigate how AI could meet real customer needs—securely and accurately.

Praelexis developed a custom chatbot powered by a Large Language Model (LLM), enriched with a vector store populated with trusted financial documents. This context-aware system ensures users get timely and relevant answers, even enabling basic credit calculations.
